My family and I recently hosted some prim and proper out of town relatives who refused to eat with their hands when we served Sri Lankan food, and likewise shunned Chopsticks when we went to a Chinese restaurant, they were content to use knives and forks at every meal. And yet, it occurs to me that these are the precise people who would judge a Chinese or Sri Lankan person for incorrectly using a knife and fork if they were in a western house/restaurant.

It just goes to show that we should never judge, as there will always be a time when we are fish out of water, and unable to behave in a correct manner for the situation at hand.
