Ezra Klein at the Washington Post highlights the GOP’s previous views on stimulus (e.g. during the Bush presidency) and proposes a scientific explanation for their current intransigence. However it does seem like yet another case of psychologists glossing over a real problem. In my view Sen. Mitch McConnell’s statement that it was their number one priority to undermine Obama was a rare moment of honesty in the world of professional politics.
