I have lately been wondering how people who believe in creationism can completely eliminate evolution. You see, people who believe in creationism believe that the world began with two people (if the world didn’t begin with two people, how can the concept of original sin work). But, anyone who has attended one of my family gatherings will witness the broad range of shapes and colours the human race is now made up of. You can quite clearly see the massive difference between my tall and dark Sri Lankan grandfather, and my short and white German grandmother. The vast difference between my short and slight Malaysian Aunty and my humongous mix-race Uncle. Where did all this diversity come from if the human race did not adapt to their surroundings as they spread from the “garden of eden”. We may not have sufficient proof to convince ardent opponents of the veracity of macro evolution, but the signs of micro evolution are all around us.
