Economic management is shaping up to be an important issue in the upcoming election. Both parties are running on claims that they are better economic stewards, and have placed an emphasis on fiscal policy. However, there is more to economic management than revenue and spending, surpluses and deficits. An important part of “economic stewardship” is creating the right atmosphere for businesses and investors to operate.
But how does politics affect business uncertainty, does that translate into investment, and is there anything that could be done differently? I tried to address these questions in story I produced for On The Money, the Community Radio Network’s Finance show:
