For many of us around the world, the “price” of schooling is the sum of school fees, books, transportation, and maybe a uniform and tutoring. But for Shabana Basij-Rasikh, the price of schooling under the Taliban was putting her life and the lives of her family at risk. But she endured, and graduated from University. This is an utterly incredible and inspiring TED talk, but it is also a scary and eye opening one. It really puts into perspective what many of us take for granted, and what there is left to accomplish, especially for Women, all around the world.
