So the whole idea of 3D printing has intrigued me for a while, especially since I realized the potential of open source designs allowing you to “print” household items for a reasonable price, rather than go out and purchase something less unique. 3D printing also has wider ramifications, like what it will be for lower skilled manufacturing jobs, and even what it will mean for policies like assault weapons bans.
